In February we travelled east to our cottage in Quebec, then planned to travel to see family in Ontario. While we were in Quebec we received news that my husband’s grandmother, Irene had been put in palliative care. We hopped in the car and drove to see her. After 8 hours in the car she passed away while we were still an hour and a half away from her.
With family coming from different parts of North America the funeral wasn’t for a week so my husband and I went back to the cottage to surround ourselves with the healing power of nature. There is no TV, internet and limited music at the cottage. However, we did have this one CD I had bought in the new year but hadn’t yet listened to. One morning I awoke to hear Goodbye Old Friend playing for the very first time. I can’t hear the chorus without thinking of Irene-always a lady, always loving music and always ready to dance with a gentleman. So this is my first Jukebox pick in a while……..enjoy 🙂
